Online learning is a terrific option if you want to take National Fire Academy (NFA) classes. Our online courses are free to fire and emergency services personnel, and international students are welcome. Continuing Education Units are available for most courses. Successful completion is added to your NFA transcript, and you earn an NFA certificate.
You can sign up for these classes at any time and complete them at your own pace. They are not led by an instructor.
Instructor-led courses last 4 to 6 weeks and are primarily asynchronous. They require you to do weekly assignments, participate in discussions, and read articles as the instructor assigns them.
These courses are offered synchronously through ZOOM.
