The Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Administration and Technology a Cal State LA is designed to equip students with both technical and administrative skills needed for careers in fire Services. Developed in close collaboration with local, state, and national fire service representatives, the program is the only B.S. degree in fire protection administration in California. Taught by experienced faculty and adjunct instructors, including retired fire chiefs and paramedic program directors, the curriculum prepares both in-service fire professionals for career advancement and aspiring professionals for competitive entry-level opportunities. Housed in the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology, students benefit from direct instruction from Fire Service/EMS experts, career mentorship, and an active fire fraternity dedicated to community service.
